Laura Holman: Pend Oreille Chinooks: Colorado, United States; Welcome to Pend Oreille Chinooks! Our Kennel is named after the beautiful Lake Pend Oreille in Northern Idaho where I grew up. The lake was named by French Explorers for it's ear shape, or after it's earring- adorned natives. We thought this would be a great name, as one of the distinctions of the Chinook Breed is their three various ear sets! Our Chinooks are wonderful companions and enjoy all of the great outdoor activities and inspire us to get out and enjoy them! They also enjoy just being part of the family home "down time" as well. They are great family dogs and enjoy being with us in whatever we choose to do! Our dogs have participated in obedience classes, sledding and agility classes.
